Tips for leading a tech class
- Keep groups small, or add one helper for every 4 or 5 people.
- Let people tap their own screens. Guide, do not grab.
- Print handouts in large type and read key steps out loud.
- End every class with time for questions. No question is silly.

Questions from staff and librarians
Are these lesson plans really free?
Yes. Every lesson plan, handout, quiz and puzzle is free to print, copy and use with your members or patrons. No sign-up needed.
Do participants need their own devices?
Some lessons (camera and video calling) work best with members’ own phones. The others run from one screen or paper handouts.
Who can lead these classes?
Anyone: activity directors, librarians, volunteers, or teen helpers. Each lesson has a word-for-word leader script.
