The PDF has 14 pages: how to play with a caller’s checklist, a page of calling slips to cut apart, and 12 bingo cards, one per page.

How to play Thanksgiving bingo

  1. Print the cards, one for each player. Card stock lasts longer.
  2. Hand out markers: dried corn kernels, beans, pennies or bingo daubers.
  3. Call the words. Pull a calling slip from a bowl or basket, or use the online caller below. Check off each word on the caller’s list.
  4. Cover the word if it is on your card. The owl in the middle is free.
  5. Five in a row wins! Across, down or corner to corner. Then check the card against the caller’s list.

Want a longer game? Play “four corners” or “blackout,” where you must cover the whole card.

Questions people ask

How do you play Thanksgiving bingo?

Give each player a card and some markers, like dried corn kernels, beans or pennies. The caller reads one Thanksgiving word at a time. Players cover that word if it is on their card. The first player with five in a row, across, down or corner to corner, calls out "Bingo!" The owl square in the middle is free.

Are these Thanksgiving bingo cards free to print?

Yes. The PDF is free, with no sign-up. Print as many copies as you like for senior centers, libraries, churches, care homes, classrooms and family gatherings (non-commercial use).

How many bingo cards are there?

There are 12 different cards, so up to 12 people can play at once. Every card has a different mix of words, and no two cards share a winning row, so ties are rare. For a bigger group, print two sets and play in teams.

Are the cards large print for seniors?

Yes. Each card fills a whole page, with big, bold words in large squares that are easy to read and easy to cover, even from across a table.

Is this a good Thanksgiving game for adults, not just kids?

Yes. The words are grown-up Thanksgiving favorites, like pecan pie, the parade, football, leftovers and the afternoon nap, so it works for adults, seniors and mixed-age family tables.

Do I need a bingo caller?

You can use the cut-out calling slips in the PDF: put them in a bowl or a basket and pull one at a time. Or use the free online caller on this page on a TV or projector.

What other bingo patterns can we play?

After a regular game, try four corners, an X (both diagonals), a picture frame (all the outside squares), or blackout, where you cover the whole card. Blackout makes a nice long final round with dessert.

Made with care for you. Take your time. There is no rush.
