Halloween games for senior centers
Pass the Pumpkin trivia

Pumpkin bowling
Set up plastic bottles or paper towel tubes as pins and roll a small pumpkin. Works seated, too.
Guess the candy count
Fill a clear jar with wrapped candy. Everyone writes a guess. Closest guess wins the jar to share.
Costume memories
Go around the room: what was your best childhood costume? Who made it? Bring old photos if you have them.
Halloween word search race
Hand out our large print word search and see which table finds all the words first.
Spooky story read-aloud
Read a short classic, like "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" or Poe's "The Raven," with the lights dimmed.

Easy Halloween crafts for seniors
No-carve painted pumpkins
Paint or use stickers and markers instead of knives. Safer and easier on the hands.
Paper plate jack-o'-lanterns
Paint a paper plate orange and glue on black paper eyes and a smile.
Pinecone owls
Glue felt or paper eyes and a little beak onto a pinecone. Add a tiny paper witch hat like our owl!
Tissue paper ghosts
Wrap tissue around a cotton ball, tie with string, and draw a face. Hang them in a window.
Glowing jar lanterns
Cover a clean jar with tissue paper and glue. Put a battery tea light inside, never a real candle.
Fall leaf rubbings
Put leaves under thin paper and rub with the side of a crayon. Great with fall colors.

🛡️ Halloween scam safety
Holidays bring more online shopping and more scams. Three to watch for this season:
- Fake costume and decoration shops. Websites or social media ads with prices that seem too good to be true may never ship. Look up the store name plus the word "scam" or "reviews" before you buy, and pay with a credit card.
- Fake package delivery texts. A text says your package is held and asks you to click a link or pay a small fee. Do not click. Check tracking on the shipper's real website or app instead.
- Pushy charity requests. Before giving, look the charity up yourself. Never pay by gift card, wire or cryptocurrency.
